The GainMaker Broadband Amplifier Platform includes a variety of RF amplifiers that address the divergent needs of today’s broadband networks. All GainMaker amplifiers provide superior 2-way performance and reliability combined with a user-friendly layout. All share common plug-in accessories and performs to 870 MHz in the forward path. The System Amplifiers in this family provide multiple forward RF output ports while the Line Extenders provide a single forward RF output port.
The GainMaker System Amplifier modules have increased gain and are mechanically compatible with previous System Amplifier II, II+ and III housing bases, often enabling upgrade to higher bandwidth with no re-spacing or re-splicing. The DC power supply is modular and located in an updated housing lid for easy access. All GainMaker System Amplifier modules are factory configured with reverse amplifier, diplex filters, thermal compensation circuit, forward interstage pads and equalizer, to ensure optimal performance. Optional single-pilot Automatic gain Control (AGC) configurations are also available.
The GainMaker Low Gain Dual System Amplifier is ideally suited for providing high (bridger) level RF to the feeder network. It provides two forward RF outputs (Main and Auxiliary), with the option to create a third RF output via the use of an optional plug-in Auxiliary path signal director.
The GainMaker Unbalanced Triple System Amplifier is ideally suited as a trunk/bridger amplifier. The Unbalanced Triple provides one low level RF output for the trunk (express) path and two high (bridger) level RF outputs for the feeder network.
The System Amplifier III (SAIII) family of RF amplifiers includes a variety of gain, output, and frequency configurations to optimally address the various network architectures being deployed. All SAIII amplifier modules offer 15 amp current carrying capacity, and come preconfigured with diplexers and reverse amplifier for optimum reverse performance.
The SAIII product line also incorporates a metal module cover which improves the RF performance of the station.
The Low Gain Dual provides two high level outputs (with the capability to split one to feed a third port) and is primarily utilized in advanced Fiber-to-the-Serving Area (FSA) architectures functioning as an express or tap amplifier. It can also be deployed as a terminating bridger in more traditional architectures.
The System Amplifier III (SAIII) family of RF amplifiers includes a variety of gain, output and frequency configurations to optimally address the various network architectures being deployed. All SAIII amplifier modules offer 15 amp current carrying capacity, and come preconfigured with diplexers and reverse amplifier for optimum reverse performance.
The SAIII Unbalanced Triple - RC (Reverse Conditioning) amplifier module incorporates all of the features of the SAII+ Unbalanced Triple. Additionally, maximum flexibility in reverse signal path alignment is achieved via the incorporation of individual reverse input testpoints and pads for each of the reverse inputs.
The Unbalanced Triple - RC amplifier module can be field configured with a variety of standard accessory options to meet specific requirements.
The Line Extender III (LE III) family of RF amplifiers provide optimum performance and reliability for broadband network applications. All LE III amplifier modules offer fifteen amp current carrying capacity, and are pre-configured with diplexers and reverse amplifier for optimum reverse performance.
The LE III GaAs FET amplifier module incorporates robust GaAs FET gain block technology, which provides significant improvements in distortion performance.
LE III can be field configured with a variety of options to meet specific requirements.
For applications where output level control is not required, the interstage is typically configured with a stand alone Interstage Equalizer (ISEQ).
For basic output level control in aerial plant applications, a combination Thermal Compensator/ISEQ is available.
For the most accurate degree of output level control in both aerial and underground plant, a combination AGC/ ISEQ is the desired option. The LE III GaAs FET amplifier module provides one (bridger level) output.
The Line Extender III (LEIII) family of RF amplifiers provide optimum performance and reliability for broadband network applications. All LEIII amplifier modules offer fifteen amp current carrying capacity, and are pre-configured with diplexers and reverse amplifier for optimum reverse performance.
The LEIII PHD amplifier module can be field configured with a variety of options to meet specific requirements.
